Fairfax County is a world-class business and technology center located in Northern Virginia, just 10 miles west of the Capital of the United States, Washington D.C. Established in 1742, the county covers 399 square miles and is home to more than one million residents.

It is also the birthplace and resident home of the Internet, with more than half of the world's Internet traffic crossing Northern Virginia's borders daily.
