Get Involved
Fairfax County Chamber members are being empowered to leverage the organization’s advocacy strengths to pursue policy initiatives specific to their industries or interest, but which also widely impact on Northern Virginia’s economy.
Become a Sponsor:
The three levels of sponsorship for Advocacy are Premiere, Champion and Advocate. All sponsorships come with tickets to the Chamber’s Annual Debate held in the fall; our PAC Reception with elected attendees from state to federal; the Dine with the Delegation dinner in Richmond, an intimate dinner with Northern Virginia’s delegation; and the several PolicyMakers events hosted throughout the year connecting businesses leaders and prominent legislators.
As a Chamber Advocacy sponsor your business is also available to several forms of advertisement through, signage, Advocacy email updates and more.
Last year over 650 of Northern Virginia’s business leaders and political elite, 50 media outlets from CNN to local print and a live coast-to-coast broadcast and webcast attended the Chamber’s Annual Political Debate. Advocacy Sponsors names could be seen and heard throughout.

Join/Start an Issues Team:
The objective is to leverage the expertise of Chamber members through volunteer-led “issue teams,” which will focus on creating effective solutions for diverse business issues. These issue teams will be fully backed by the Chamber staff’s renowned legislative expertise, and will be integral parts of the State and Local Policy Committee. Chamber members also help develop the organization's policies on broad issues, such as transportation and education funding.
An example of the “issue team” at work is the Northern Virginia Hospitality Council. Led by Chamber members from the hospitality industry, the Council crafted an innovative plan to significantly improve Fairfax County’s tourism marketing budget.
Other issue teams are focusing on procurement policy issues, transportation initiatives, workforce shortages in the health care industry and revitalization of Fairfax County’s older communities.
